Pediatric Ophthalmology Associates was initially founded by Carl J Troia, M.D. in 1962. He was the first fellowship trained Pediatric Ophthalmologist to practice in Omaha. The practice was initially located at the Medical Arts Building in downtown Omaha until moving west in 1967. For the next 33 years it was located at 84th & West Center Road. Sebastian J. Troia, M.D. joined the practice on July 1, 1980 after finishing his Ophthalmology residency in Kansas City and then a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology in Washington, D.C. Robert N. Troia, M.D. joined the group in January of 1984 after also finishing his Ophthalmology residency in Kansas City and a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology in both Philadelphia and San Francisco.
After Carl Troia, M.D. retired, Pediatric Ophthalmology Associates relocated the practice in 2000 to 515 N. 98th Street where it is currently located. Our practice caters to those under 21 and adults with strabismus.
