FAQ

We offer full pediatric ophthalmology services including comprehensive eye exams, surgery, and contact lens fittings for patients from birth to age 21, as well as services for adult patients with strabismus (“crossed eye” or “lazy eye”). Please click here for more information.

At this time we can only accept new patients who have referrals from a physician or other healthcare providers, or those who have siblings that are current patients.  To make an appointment, please give us a call at (402) 399-9400.

We accept most types of insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare.  Please be aware that most insurance companies do not cover routine eye exams, so you may be liable for the full cost of the visit.  Furthermore, since we are classified as medical specialists we can only accept medical insurance and not vision insurance or vision plans.  Please remember to bring your insurance card to your appointment, and be advised that copays (if required by your insurance) are due at the time of the visit.

While we primarily see patients from birth to age 21, we also specialize in adult patients who suffer from strabismus (“lazy-eye”).  Please click here for more information, or call us at (402) 399-9400 to make an appointment.

While we will issue you a prescription for glasses during your appointment, you cannot order glasses directly from us.   You will be able to take your prescription to any optical shop, however, we highly recommend Visual Eyes Optical which is conveniently located just adjacent to us and offers a wide range of eyewear for both children and adults.

Yes, we offer a wide range of brands at competitive prices direct from the manufacturers in 3 month, 6 month, and one year supplies that you can order directly from us during your visit or over the phone.  We’ll hold them at the front desk for you to pick up at your leisure.  When ordering a new supply, be sure to ask about discounts or rebates for a one year supply.

We’re located at 515 N. 98th Street near the Westroad’s Mall in between David’s Bridal and the AmericInn.  Please click here to go to our Contact page for directions.
